Are you a fan of Zion Mixolydian Cannon? If so, then you’re probably very familiar with his many works in the music industry. But do you know the facts behind this incredible artist and his life? Here is an extensive bio that covers his work, age, kids, facts & net worth.
Zion Mixolydian Cannon is a hip-hop/pop artist from Detroit, Michigan who began making music in his teens as a way to express himself and tell stories about life in Detroit. Since then he has gone on to become an internationally acclaimed recording artist and producer who has released two critically acclaimed albums over the past three years – ‘Paradise Lost’ and ‘A Lovely Day at The Races’. He also performs at various venues all over the United States (and occasionally abroad) with both full bands and solo acts.
Early Life & Education
Zion was born in Miami to musical parents who had both achieved moderate success as performing artists. From an early age, Zion was exposed to all kinds of sound — jazz, rock, classical, and more — but he was especially drawn to urban and electronic sounds like hip-hop, trap, and dubstep. As a child, he would often tinker with cassette decks and synthesizers to craft his own beats.
At the age of 17, he started taking piano lessons with renowned Miami-based instructor Quinton Rideout – who had already been tutoring the likes of Ne-Yo & Trey Songz before Zion entered his class. His piano studies helped hone his understanding of classic theory as well as improvisational play which laid the foundation for his later production work.
